Actor/Singer Gary Valenciano has a message to the Philippine President Rodrigo Roa Duterte over the battle versus Coronavirus (COVID-19). As of April 6, 2020, updated from the Department of Health (DOH), 414 new cases of Coronavirus Diseases 2019 (COVID-19) in the Philippines have been recorded which basically bring us a total of 3,660 cases now. This comes along with 163 deaths recorded and 73 recoveries. 

President Duterte officially declared the extension of enhanced community quarantine in Luzon until April 30, 2020. Duterte decided to an extent because of the rapid growth of COVID-19. The extension means, Filipino are forced to stay inside their house, only one person can go out to buy foods and needs inside the house. 

The president donates his one-month salary as support for the government to curb the growth of the infected persons by the Coronavirus disease. Gary Valenciano’s official Twitter account posts went viral on social networking sites. “To our president, President Rodrigo Duterte, there are so many opinions after each time you speak, but I choose to look over all that’s said and simply follow what I know my God wants me to do; and that is to keep you covered in prayer. God bless you, sir…God bless us all.” 

Netizens praise Gary Valenciano’s Twitter posts, “Hi, Mr. Gary. It’s what God wants us to be —to submit ourselves to authorities. Thank you for being a good example to everyone. Your life is such a blessing!”
