Nurse of Corazaon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH) in Bacolod City tested positive after contacted of the 69-year-old COVID-19 patient.
According to report posted on the Facebook Page of TV Patrol Negros, Yasmin Pascual Dormido reported that 17 medical frontliners including institutional staff of CLMMRH who had direct contact with the 69-year-old admitted on April 9, 2020 who also died in the hospital at the same date of admission, undergone the swab test.
Dr. Julius Drilon medical chief of CLMMRH, confirmed that a female nurse (name was not revealed) who was one among the five (5) nurse frontliners in direct contact to the 69-year-old patient was tested positive after the initial testing of Immunoglobulin Rapid Test and the victim is to undergo confirmatory test.
Reportedly, when the 69-year-old male patient admitted in the hospital, he was not considered at first as Person Under Investigation (PUI) as the patient did not shows respiratory related symptoms. But according to the family relatives, the patient suffered diarrhea or LBM for 2 days.
The 69-year-old patient admitted at around 2:00am and died at around 7:00am. Report said that prior to his death the patient was transferred to the ward causing multiple contact with nurses and institutional staff in the hospital.
Dr. Drilon noted that the LBM is to be considered as suspected COVID-19 symptoms in addition to the Department of Health set of instructions.
Similar report published by the DYHB stating that the female nurse is a 30-year-old and pregnant.
Chairperson of the Inter-Agency Task Force Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran said that the Brgy. Villamonte is considered ultra risk area from which the 69-year-old male patient resides.
