BACOLOD CITY, Mayor Evelio Leonardia addresses to the city that starting May 1, 2020 (Saturday), Bacolod will be under general community quarantine.
Mayor Leonardia stated that they follow the mandate of the national government that low-risk areas can be under general community quarantine much lower restrictions compared to enhance community quarantine.
The city mayor clarified that despite of a much lower quarantine protocols this does not signify that all things must go back to normal.
According to IATF GCQ restrictions includes 20 below and 60 up ages must remain at home, people with high risk is not allowed to go out due to the threat of COVID-19.
Mall hours are shortened and the sickly looking individual is not allowed to go inside, social gatherings are not yet allowed and thermal scanner is strictly implemented to monitor and enhance the security measure in any Malls in the city.
The city mayor noted that despite of lower risk they must not lower their guard down due to unseen enemy.
As of now, Bacolod City maintains strict control of borders and curfew to limit the movement in the city as proven by no more infections for almost a few days.
