Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran confirmed the new COVID-19 case recorded in Barangay Banago, Bacolod City. Bacolod City is under lockdown ‘Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) due to coronavirus or COVID-19. Based on a report of TV Patrol Negros, a 65-year-old resident of Barangay Banago is the 9th patient positive of coronavirus in Bacolod. The patient had no travel history and was only consulting with CHO after experiencing COVID-19 symptoms.
According to Familiaran, the patient is still at her home and designated as the City Health Office for isolation. He is the 9th patient with COVID-19 positive in Bacolod. The Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) is set to expire this April 30 but Governor Eugenio Jose “Bong” Lacson wants to extend it to one (1) more week after two (2) cases of coronavirus was confirmed in Bacolod City.
Recently, The City Health Office and DRRMO immediately conducted a contact tracing and SWAB testing today [April 26, 2020] at Prk. Bayanihan, Brgy. Banago as Bacolod records 9th confirmed COVID positive case.
As of April 26, 2020, the Department of Health reports 285 new cases (PH7295-PH7579) of COVID-19. The total number of cases in the country is now at 7,579. DOH also announces 70 new recoveries. This brings the total number of recoveries to 862.
