Senator Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa was one of the first to visit PNP chief Archie Gamboa in St. Luke’s Medical Center in Taguig City. Thursday morning when Gamboa’s helicopter crashed, along with seven other police officials. In the Facebook Page of Senator Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa, he stated that “Please pray for the fast recovery of my mistahs: gen Gamboa, gen Ramos, gen magaway; PNP Pio gen banac and the rest of the passengers and flight crew of the PNP helicopter that crashed at san Pedro, laguna this morning.”

This includes PNP spokesperson Police Brigadier General Bernard Banac; PNP director for Comptrollership Police Major General Jovic Ramos; Director for Police Intelligence Major General Mariel Magaway; Police Lieutenant Colonel Ruel Zalatar, pilot; Police Lieutenant Colonel Macawili, co-pilot; Police Senior Master Sergeant Estona, crew; and Police Captain Gayrama, Gamboa’s aide-de-camp.

Dela Rosa and Gamboa are batchmates or “mistahs” of the Philippine Military Academy, Registered Class of 1986.
