There are 24 films that have been submitted but only eight movies made it to the first-ever edition of Metro Manila Summer Film Festival Entries this 2020. MMFF official Facebook page announces the 8 movies will take place from April 11 to 21 in cinemas nationwide.
Here are the eight official entries for MMFF Summer 2020:
- “A Hard Day” by Lawrence Fajardo – A Filipino adaptation of hit Korean action film starring Dingdong Dantes.
- “Tagpuan” by McArthur Alejandre – A romantic movie that will star Alfred Vargas, Shaina Magdayao, and Iza Calzado.
- “Love the Way U Lie” by RC Delos Reyes – This will be top-billed by Alex Gonzaga and Xian Lim – romantic comedy and fantasy film.
- “Isa Pang Bahaghari” by Joel Lamangan – A family drama starring the veteran actors, Philip Salvador, and Nora Aunor.
- “Love or Money” by Mae Czarina Cruz-Alviar – The first film for the tandem of Angelica Panganiban and Coco Martin.
- “Coming Home” by Adolfo Alix, Jr. – This film stars Jinggoy Estrada, Martin del Rosario, Edgar Allan Guzman, Vin Abrenica, Sylvia Sanchez, Ara Arida, Shaira Diaz, and Samantha Lopez.
- “Ngayon Kaya” by Prime Cruz – A romantic movie from Paulo Avelino, Janine Gutierrez, John James Uy, Rio Locsin, Alwyn Uytingco, and Donna Cariaga.
- “The Missing” by Easy Ferrer – The one and only film to complete the edition which stars Joseph Marco and Ritz Azul.

- 40% commercial appeal
- 10% of Filipino values
