CNN Philippines Senior Anchor Pinky Webb interview with Presidential Chief Legal Counsel and Presidential Spokesperson Salvador ‘Sal’ Panelo on Monday night, March 16, 2020. Pinky Webb asked Panelo for stricter precautionary measures to enhance community quarantine in the Philippines.

Some netizens react to this interview, I felt the frustration of Pinky Webb building up as the interview continued. The interview was done to give more information but it ended up circling around things that we already know. None of the important questions were answered. What a waste of time.

During the last minute calls, WEBB: Sec., are we still expecting the President to speak about this anytime this afternoon?

SEC. PANELO: Yes, anytime soon.

WEBB: What time, sir?

SEC. PANELO: Hindi pa kami tapos sa meeting, immediately after.

WEBB: Do you have an approximate, sir? Maybe at six or seven—

SEC. PANELO: Hindi… immediately. Hindi natin alam…

WEBB: Sir, immediate is relative that’s why I’m asking you.

SEC. PANELO: Pagkatapos [LINE CUT]

WEBB: Hello? All right, we lost Secretary Salvador Panelo on the line.

Duterte was supposed to address the nation at 4 pm today. But Panelo, during his interview with CNN’s Pinky Webb said, “di pa kami tapos mag-meeting eh.” I guess now we know why Duterte’s speeches are so delayed. They’re literally planning MINUTES before addressing the nation.
