Dra. Rowena Medina Mangubat speaks up amid the COVID-19 issues. Dra. Mangubat is from PNP Regional Advisor and Council and most of the women and self-advocate and practicing of sufficient medicologist.

She is invited by Colonel Torre to speak on behalf of the community the medical profession or the frontliners in representing Region 3.

She is asking the police force to implement the enhanced community quarantine. In a way na totoo.

According to Mangubat, Yesterday three doctors had died in just a day. She said, “Hindi porket doctor ay superhuman. Even in China, the first few weeks of the outbreak. Health professionals will be going to be affected. Sila ang unang mawawala kase sila ang my direct contact. We should protect them by giving them personal protective gear.”

She added, “Also if the law enforcement, the government and LGU’s do not implement the lockdown properly and still do business, ilan ang mawawala sa atin? Ilan lang ang ventilators sa pilipinas, ilan lang ang doctor, kaya kung uubusin nyo sila dahil di kayo nag sa-stay sa bahay nyo at hindi iniimplement ang quarantine. Dapat yung whole heartedly kasi kung hindi, mauubos tayo, mauubos ang mga Doctor.

Mangubat suggests that the supply from the LGU’s must be given all away to the people so that they will stay at home and don’t go out amid the enhanced community quarantine.

She said that the government, the law enforcement, the bosses and those in the higher-ups, will do something about it.

Mangubat said firmly, “Please act now. Please be ready. Be serious about it. No politics. No religion, No color, No region for the Filipino and for humans. You have to act now.”

According to her, there are several positive doctors and nurses. And the worst is the deaths of the three doctors in one day.

She also added that a lot doesn’t know that there are several doctors who were intubated and in the ICU due to shortness of breath due to COVID-19. “That’s why we should do something about it. And let us realize that if there are no more doctors what will happen to us? Just like what happened to Italy and the US.”

Mangubat said that we should learn from China. “Enhance ang totoong quarantine. Walang my gusto nito. Kaya mga ordinary citizens do your job. Just stay home. Bigay na yung pagkain nila assured nyo sila.”
