GMA 7 reporter Marisol Abdurahman is now trending in social media such as Twitter. The #ApologizetoSeventeenGMA was trending after being caught on camera, shouting a journalist from GMA-7 saying that she will not cover similar scenes when K-Pop artists arrived in the country. On Friday afternoon K-Pop group Seventeen arrived in Manila for their concert to be held tomorrow, February 8, at the Mall of Asia Arena.
On Twitter, there was a video where a woman shouted: “Kung ako lang, ayoko mag-cover ng mga ‘yan ano!”
Marisol has since released a statement and apologized for the incident, explaining that he had a bad experience with airport security personnel who allegedly pushed hard and hid the camera lens.
“I can only imagine how upset the fans must have been for the careless words that I have uttered. Please know that I have no intention of hurting them,” said Abdurahman.
“Again, I am extending my sincerest apologies to the fans and I wish Seventeen a successful concert.”
