Before the end of the year 2019, viral video of Hawaii-based Pinoy YouTuber Bretman Rock has made a round on social media as he made a dance twerk while the Philippine National Anthem “Lupang Hinirang” is singing.

His viral video caught the attention of the netizen following considerable negative comments condemning him for his violation against the Flag Law.

The original video uploaded by him in several social media like Instagram, Twitter and Facebook has been deleted but the said video is still available here for viewing.

Prior to this violated video of Bretman Rock there were similar videos of the same case uploaded on social media prompting the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) issued punishment for everyone committing the same offense.

According to the NHCP, dancing to the national anthem constitute offense against the Flag Law.

“[D]ancing to the national anthem as shown in the video abovementioned, therefore constitutes a violation of the flag law,” the statement says.

The netizen had expressed comment condemning the untoward action of Bretman Rock. Here is some of the netizens comment.

“I just want to inform y’all, the video of Bretman singing and disrespecting our national anthem on his story was 3 mos ago. and he deleted it immediately and HE APOLOGIZED IMMEDIATELY. I HOPE U CONSIDER THAT,” said Twitter user @andrengsam.

Bretman immediately issued apology message and deleted the alleged video.

“Thank you so much for understanding, I can promise you it will never happen again, I take full responsibility and I truly am so sorry.” Bretman said.
