Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho features the tragedy of the fluvial parade of Señor Sto. Nino in Barangay Camugao, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental on Sunday, January 19, 2020. The victims fell into the river while they were watching a fluvial parade as part of the highlights of the annual Sinulog Festival in the city.
According to Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Unit (DRRMO) division head Elbert Javellana, overloading of the bridge could have been the cause of its collapse.

Elbert Javellana told to the reporter that the bridge has been used for about 20 years now connecting Camugao village to the barangay proper. “People seldom pass by the bridge but because of the parade, people flocked to the area to witness the event,” he added.
