U2 lead singer Bono was bashed by Netizens on social networking sites such as Twitter. He told to press, “You can’t compromise on human rights,” a soft message to President Rodrigo Duterte. Recently, “Respetado ko naman opinyon niya.Pero ‘soft message’ ko rin lang sa kanya, the Duterte administration does not compromise when it comes to protecting the innocent from the menace of illegal drugs and criminality. We dont need soft message or soft stance against criminals here in the Philippines,” said Senator Bong Go.

U2 rock band posted photos of Rappler’s Maria Ressa, former President Corazon Aquino, Senator Pia Cayetano, also Lidy Nacpil, Joan Carling Marinel Ubaldo, One Billion Rising and #BabaeAko. U2 dedicates ‘Ultraviolet’ to notable female personalities.

When he was asked to have any plans to meet Rodrigo Duterte. Bono says,” President Duterte is very popular, he doesn’t need me on his side and as it happens I have a very deep conviction about journalism. I probably would have been a journalist if I wasn’t a singer.”
