Several Local Government Units (LGUs) declared work and class Suspension on Monday, December 2, 2019. Last 2018, Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte approved the Republic Act 11140 and signed it into law. The law declares December 2 of every year as a special non-working holiday in the city of Pasay in observance of their Foundation Day.

Pasay City government also warned the companies or individuals soliciting advertisements for the celebration of the special event.

“We wish to inform business establishments and the general public that these solicitations are not sanctioned by the City government unless otherwise authorized by the Office of the Mayor through a written letter,” according to their statement.
