Recently, James Reid’s talent management let out a statement about his withdrawal to the mostly awaited iconic comic character, Pedro Penduko. According to James’ talent agency, Viva Entertainment, that he can no longer play the role of Pedro Penduko after sustaining his spinal injury.
“James has spinal injuries and the film Pedro Penduko involves intensive training and major stunts.
“His regular therapy and treatment prohibits him to train hard or perform for the rigid requirements.”
However, the fans can still support James with his upcoming Korean movie adaption, Spellbound, together with Nadine Lustre, his real-life girlfriend.
Both of them will be starring in a horror-romantic comedy, Spellbound, or My Girlfriend Can See Ghosts in English. Viva Entertainment announced the love team’s comeback on Monday, June 3, 2019. Since their blockbuster hit Never Not Love you in 2018, this will be their next movie together.
Spellbound, is about a magician who falls in love with a woman who can see ghosts, and stars Lee Min Ki and Son Ye Jin.
However, the film’s release date was still unannounced.
