Mayor Erap Estrada Publicity Clean Up Drive of Manila Bay

Before the start of the extensive Clean Up Drive of Manila Bay, Manila City Mayor Erap Estrada called the attention of the media to publicize the said clean up drive activity.

On this video, Manila City Mayor Estrada is seen entering into the boat to collect garbage in the Manila Bay. But instead of going to the bulk of garbage in the river the boat redirect to the other side where the woman was seen demonstrating of throwing garbage to the river for Mayor Estrada to collect the garbage.

In an interview, Mayor Erap admitted that the throwing of garbage was just for publicity expressing their sincerity of the clean-up drive to maintain the cleanliness of Manila Bay.

When the video was uploaded online the netizen immediately expresses their comments that Mayor Estrada was just doing it for publicity and he should not attribute it to his political accomplishment.

The report also revealed that it was not the Local Government Unit (LGU) initiative of leading the extensive clean-up drive under Mayor Estrada’s leadership.

According to Manila Tourism & Cultural Affairs Bureau Director Atty. Sol Arboladura, the Clean-Up Drive of the Manila Bay was headed by the Rizal Park Hotel who is situated nearby the Manila Bay and the city of Manila has just cooperated only with this clean up endeavor.
