Did you remember Noven Belleza? He comes to popularity after winning the prestigious singing competition in the country, the “Tawag Ng Tanghalan” as he hailed the first grand winner taking home the P2 million cash prize, a recording contract and a brand-new house and lot and among other prizes.

The 22-year-old comes from the rags to riches that become the people choice with his effortless rendition of the Air Supply song during the final competition.

After his victory in the singing competition, he appeared on ABS-CBN’s noontime show and other talk show and his life story was even featured in an episode on the MMK. He is known for his simplicity and generosity whose dream is to have his family a better life.

But his popularity went blemished after he was complained with the alleged rᾳṕἑ case filled at Cebu City Prosecutor’s Office on July 17, 2017

Mabolo Police Chief Inspector Jacinto Mandal Jr. confirmed that Noven was arrested early after the midnight on Sunday. According to the report, the arrest took place at EC Pavillion in Barangay Mabolo early morning on Sunday, July 16, 2017 and according to local new in Cebu, “The Freeman,” the signer performer did not resist the arrest and is now temporarily detained at Mabolo Police Station. Authorities said, Noven will stay to their custody until he is allowed to put the bail that is if he is allowed.

According to The Freeman, the victim is a 19-year-old local performer (choose to hide her identity) testified before the police that the rᾳṕἑ incident took place at around 2 a.m. on Saturday inside the condo of Noven where he stayed while waiting for the show of Vice Ganda’s “Pusuan Mo Si Vice Ganda” held at IEC Pavillion in Mabolo Cebu as Noven is one of the guests performer. The victim narrated the she was hurt of trying to stop Noven from his evil intention of abusing against her but no avail.

Parents of the 19-year-old victim also told police that they went through medical examination and find out that their daughter was indeed rᾳṕἑd. Parents then won’t allow settlement of the case filed against the Negrense singing champion.

Mixed reactions from fans and supporter of Noven, some took the singer side while other comments favors to the victim.
