State weather bureau PAGASA release statement for a weather forecast in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
In Southern Luzon PAGASA FORECAST: Cloudy skies with light to moderate rain showers and thunderstorms will be experienced over Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque and Romblon. Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms will prevail over Bicol Region and Northern Samar. Moderate to occasionally strong winds coming from the southeast to south will prevail with moderate to occasionally rough seas.
In Mindanao: Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms will prevail over Mindanao. Winds will be light to moderate coming from Southwest to South with slight to moderate seas.
The tropical storm “Emong” (international name: Nanmadol) has further gained strength as it rapidly moves towards Ryukyu Islands or southwest of the main islands of Japan.
