The U.S. Geological Survey release statement of magnitude 6.7 earthquake has strikes south of the Turkish city of Bodrum, rattling the country’s coast and nearby Greek islands. “Seeking further information,” said Foreign Office spokesman.
On Thursday’s quake review, “a depth of 6.2 miles (10 kilometers) and was 6 miles (10 kilometers) south of Bodrum. It was 10 miles (16 kilometers) south of Kos, Greece,” said USGS.
Initially reports, there had only been minor injuries, but there were unconfirmed reports 2 people had been killed.
In Cedric Janssens Tweets, “just felt a significant earthquake. No visible damage our casualties at our hotel. Replica tombe expected?”
A small tsunami is confirmed. Avoid beaches in the area, but you are safe on higher grounds, says reports.
