Ronald dela Rosa Explained Incident at Resort World Manila if ISIS Terrorist Attack or Not
Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Director-General Ronald dela Rosa explained the incident at Resort World Manila if the shooting spree incident is attributed to ISIS Terrorist Attack or Not.
According to dela Rosa, the gunfire that shook the Resort World Manila midnight on Friday June 2, 2017 was done by one man who set at least three casino tables on fire and shot nobody but the doorknob of the hotel and the TV screen.
In spite of the report that there were some injuries due to the incident that victims were rushed to the nearest hospital but no gunshot found during the investigation.
Dela Rosa opposed claims that Islamic or ISIS terrorist to be blamed for the attack at Resort World Manila. According to him, police investigation considers the angle of robbery because the suspect went straight to the casino chip storage room to possibly steal of the chips and did no harm with the people in the casino but the gunman only shot the big TV screen and set fire on the table.
“We are looking into a robbery angle because he did not hurt any people and went straight to the casino chips storage room. He parked at the second floor and barged into the casino, shooting large TV screens and poured gasoline on a table setting it on fire.” De la Rosa said.
“Don’t panic, this is not a cause for alarm. We cannot attribute this to terrorism,” he added.
Dela Rosa also described the gunman based on CCTV footage whose identity is a six-footer foreigner-looking, fear complexion with “bigote (mustache).”
The latest update of dela Rosa regarding the incident at Resort World Manila, he informs reporters of ABS-CBN that the gunman was already dead. Report said, gunman killed himself by covering his body with blanket and poured gasoline and burned to death at Room 510 of Resort World Manila.
