Breaking news: Phivolcs (Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology) release statement, a Magnitude 5.2 Earthquake hits Sarangani (Davao Occidental) and nearby areas at around 8:58:23 PM on Friday, June 9, 2017. The Location issued at 05.49°N, 125.14°E – 038 km N 80° W of Sarangani (Davao Occidental).
The origin is tectonic and hit at a depth focus of 22 kilometers. Reported Intensities are Intensity III – Sarangani, Davao Occidental and Intensity II – General Santos City; Glan, Sarangani.
There is no reliable technology in the world that can confidently predict the date, time and location of large earthquakes, stated by Phivolcs.
