The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces a total of 2,378 out of 3,216 passed the Medical Technologist Licensure Examination given by the Board of Medical Technology. According to PRC, those who failed to pass the board examination for Medical Technology but had obtained a general rating of at least 70% can register as Medical Laboratory Technician.
The official results were released on Thursday, March 2, 2017.
The performance of schools in the February 2017 Medical Technologist Licensure Examination in alphabetical order as per R.A. 8981 otherwise known as PRC Modernization Act of 2000 Section 7(m) “To monitor the performance of schools in licensure examinations and publish the results thereof in a newspaper of national circulation” is as follows:

Professional Regulatory Board of Medical Technology administered the licensure examination in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cebu, Davao, Tuguerarao and Zamboanga, held last February 26 & 27, 2017. The members of the Board of Medical Technology were composed by Dr. Marietta C. Baccay, Chairman; Ms. Marilyn R. Atienza and Ms. Marian M. Tantingco, Members.

Examinees answer the following subjects: Clinical Chemistry, Microbiology and Parasitology Clinical Microscopy (Urinalysis and other Body Fluids). In second day of examination, Hematology, Blood Banking and Serology, Histopathologic Techniques, Cytotechnology, Medical Technology Laws, Related Laws and its Implementing rules, and the Code of Ethics.
