Blind singer Carl Malone Montecido has failed to enter the Semifinals of ‘Tawag Ng Tanghalan’ on It’s Showtime, last Thursday, November 03, 2016. It was happen after he defeated by the daily winner Mark Laspinas during their sing off round. Mark Laspinas is now the latest defending champion of ‘Tawag ng Tanghalan’ and will return to defend his title.

Every defending champion needs 5 consecutive wins in order to have a slot in semifinals. However, Mark Laspinas sings Basil Valdez hit song “Kastilyong Buhangin” while Montecido sang Elvis Presley’s “The Wonder of You”.

The Blind Balladeer from Bacolod City garnered a total average score of 91.6 percent from his performance, while, Las Piñas gets 92.4 percent from the judges. Montecido exits with a total winning prize of P120, 000.
