Bagyong Ferdie has intensified further while maintaining its course in west-northwest direction, state weather agency PAGASA announce last Monday evening around at 11 pm, September 12, 2016. The estimated rainfall amount is from moderate to heavy rains within its 500 km diameter of the typhoon.

PAGASA announces on social networking sites that the Typhoon Ferdie was located based on all available data at 645 km East of Aparri, Cagayan (19.0°N, 127.7°E). The typhoon is expected to be in the vicinity of Batanes on Wednesday morning.
