The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and the Board for Professional Teachers (BPT) announces the complete list of passers for September 2016 Licensure Examination for Teachers (L.E.T) or popularly known as Teachers Board Exam Results.
Congratulations! A total of 23,378 elementary teachers out of 77,466 examinees (30.18%) and 31,334 secondary teachers out of 92,754 examinees (33.78%) successfully passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers (L.E.T.).
Professional Regulatory Board for Professional Teachers administered the licensure examination in at least 20 test locations nationwide: NCR (Manila), Baguio City, Cagayan de Oro (CDO) City, Cebu City, Davao City, Laoag City, Legazpi City, Albay, Lucena City, Quezon, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur, Rosales, Pangasinan, Tuguegarao, Masbate City, Antique, Bacolod, Iloilo, Catarman, Jolo, Sulu, Tacloban, Tawi-tawi, Zamboanga, Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro, Palawan, Romblon, held last September 25, 2016.
Aside from the full results, the registration schedule for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be announced. The requirements for the issuance of Certificate of Registration and Professional Identification Card (ID) are the following: 1) duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal; 2) latest Community Tax Certificate (Cedula); 3) 1 piece passport size picture (colored with white background and complete nametag); 4) metered documentary stamp for the Oath Form; and 5) the Initial Registration Fee of P600 and Annual Registration Fee of P450 for 2016-2019. Successful examinees should PERSONALLY register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.
The Board for Professional Teachers who gave the licensure examination is composed of Dr. Rosita L. Navarro, Chairman; Dr. Paz I. Lucido, Vice Chairman; Dr. Paraluman R. Giron and Dr. Nora M. Uy, Members.
Examinees answered the following subjects: The first licensure examination for teachers this 2016 covered two (2) parts for Elementary – General Education (40%) and Professional Education (60%) and three (3) parts for Secondary – General Education (20%), Professional Education (40%) and Specialization (40%).
The test covered the major areas of GE (English, Filipino, Mathematics, Science and Social Sciences subjects), PE (teaching profession, social dimensions of education, principles of teaching, education technology, curriculum development, facilitating learning, child and adolescent development, assessment of student learning, developmental reading, field study and practice teaching). The 10 specializations for Secondary Teacher with exam coverage depends on the chosen course: English, Filipino, Biological Sciences, Physical Sciences, Mathematics, Social Studies or Social Sciences, Values Education, MAPEH, Agriculture and Fishery Arts and TLE (Technology and Livelihood Education).

The examinee needs to obtain an average rating of not less than 75% and must have not a rating lower that 50% in any of the tests in order to pass the teachers board exam.

Last March 2016 examination, PRC release a total of 12,128 elementary teachers out of 42,739 examinees (28.38%) and 18,810 secondary teachers out of 53,090 examinees (35.43%) successfully passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers (L.E.T.) given last March 20, 2016 in twenty testing centers all over the Philippines.
The expected date of releasing the official results will be in between of November 28 to December 9, 2016. PRC Resolution No. 2015-948 – the target release date of September 2016 LET results is on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 or in 45 working days after the exam, according to source.
Examinees can verify their grades/ratings at www.prc.gov.ph’s Online Verification of Ratings (OVR), using their Application Number. According to Dr. Carl Balita, gave his first riddle when the LET results will be announced. “When the identical numbers kiss the last to bid the year goodbye…the DREAM and the DREAMER will be one.”
It is obvious that the official results will release on last week of the month of November.
