PAGASA – Typhoon Dindo with International name Lionrock, has entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility sustaining winds of 130 kilometers per hour and gustiness of 160 kilometers per hour.
The Philstar reported that PAGASA confirms on Wednesday, August 24, 2016, that Typhoon Dindo entered the Philippines.
PAGASA warns the people that will be affected by the typhoon for it is expected to bring an estimated moderated to heavy rainfall within the 500km diameter of the Typhoon.
PAGASA added, at 12:00 noon, Dindo’s eye was traced 1,200 kilometers East Northeast of Itbayan, Batanes. They also informed the disaster risk reduction and management council to take appropriate actions and monitor weather bulletin.
However, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration clarified that there is no list of storm signal warnings raise. Typhoon “Dindo” (International name Lionrock) has entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility and the people that will be affected by the typhoon is expected to be more alert and be prepared.
