The city-state of Singapore affected by haze coming from the forest of Indonesia is now affecting Kuala Lumpur and other states in Malaysia.
When the smog almost covered the parts of Singapore, the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency of Indonesia warns Malaysia that they will be greatly affected by the smoke from forest fires that is blowing eastwards in Sumatra’s central province of Riau.

The northeasterly winds bring a thick smoke from Sumatra in the near of Indonesia and giving an unhealthy level of pollutants in the air and making the visibility poor.
And here it is now, as shown in photos, the west coast of the Malaysian peninsula is covered in a haze today.
According to the Department of Environment of Malaysia, the readings of Air Pollutant Index (API) showed that it is rising fast throughout the day. It is also reported that the central and southern regions were mostly affected.
As of Monday, on 5:00 PM, the air in the town of Tanjung Malim in Perak, Malaysia has also affected. API reading is at 119, very high compared to 47 recorded at noon time.
Elsewhere in the peninsula, records from API shows the air quality to still be healthy.
