Maalaala Mo Kaya (MMK) shares another story of courage and survival as it tells a story about a kid who is forced to join as a soldier in an armed conflict this coming Saturday, May 14, 2016 on ABS-CBN. Rasul (played by Izza Canillo) who’e dreamed to become a soldier. But his life takes a sudden turn when he is separated from his mother (played by Desiree Del Valle).

Rasul and his bother Roseller are force to live with their father’s (Wendell Ramos) second wife. In a barangay in Pikit, Cotabato, Rasul and Roseller are exposed to the great numbers of armed men and even children their age who are members of a rebel group. At the age of seven (7), Rasul is encouraged to join their group, starts training, and learns to fight for the group’s ideology.

Meanwhile, after five (5) years- Rasul is about to become a commander, but his mother suddenly appears to offer him and his brother a better life. Can Rasul forgive his mother for seemingly abandoning them when they were young? Rasul chose to become a soldier or to go back to school to get his life back on track?

Joining to the cast of “MMK” episode this Saturday are Pen Medina, Victor Neri, Jenny Miller, Wynrill Banaag, at Hyasmin Neri. The episode is directed by Nick Olanka and written by Arden Rod Condez. “MMK” is led by business unit head Malou Santos.
