ABS-CBN’s noontime show ‘It’s Showtime’ segment “Tawag ng Tanghalan” announce the two grand finalists last Saturday, April 2, 2016. There are Mary Gidget Dela Llana and Maricel Callo tops the leaderboard that makes them to advance in Grand Finals. They got the highest combined scores from the judges and the madlang people (audience) text votes during the weeklong semi-finals round.

Maricel Callo from Mindanao got the highest votes with 93.45% while Mary Gidget Dela Llana from Luzon garnered 86.53%. They won over the three semi-finalists, Dominador Alviola Jr. (85.63%), Rachel Gabreza (78.53%) and Jaime Navarro got the lowest percentage of votes 64.41%.

Unfortunately, fan favorite Rachel Gabreza didn’t make it to the grand finals. Mary Gidget dela Llana and Maricel Callo are the first two grand finalists of “It’s Showtime” Tawag Ng Tanghalan!
