As the questions and speculations of the movie in the MMFF Entry entitled Honor Thy Father came out. Yesterday last January 15, director Erik Matti attented in the first congressional hearing at the House of Representatives in Quezon City. The hearing tackled all the issue that one of them was disqualification of entry which can affect the whole movie.
The hearing was attended by various members of the MMFF Executive Committee, MMFF Selection Committee, and MMFF Board of Jurors; representatives and producers from Honor Thy Father; theater owners; and numerous members of the Congress.
Despite of this, Erik Matti was so very thankful to all people that supports them. And according to him , the hearing went so well that some can be resolve and he is also happy about the reaction of the congress that they was able to rely a good discussion until the hearing was done. This hearing can be followed by some steps soon but direk Matti is very confident that they can surpass all of this.
