Before reading this, may you answer this one of a kind question; “Is this river of garbage a reflection of what we are as a society?”
Tooking a photo and posted it on facebook, a FB user namely J. Gomez stated that he was on his way to his business meeting when he passed by this river.
Quoting, “Was on my way to a business meeting with a supplier in Binondo and was so disgusted with what I saw. A river full of trash. How can this be acceptable? What are the local officials doing? the media? or is this a reflection of what we are as a society?”
There were also lots of people who reacted and gave comments to the said post. One mainly shows that some people do not have enough knowledge in taking care of the environment by W. Tuazon-Sunga.
Adding, “Really sad that’s people’s doing. I believe that demolition had taken place in that area many times but they keep coming back and do the same things over again and again. They don’t care about the so called ‘healthy environment’ or even the world’s major problem that is ‘global warming’ or better yet, do they even understand what it means? I apologize to our people’s lack of knowledge and understanding when it comes to things like this, but this is just a simple gesture of not protecting our environment, ‘their environment,’”
