DOH Recommends To Eat Healthy Foods This Christmas

As we all know Filipinos love foods especially when there is an occasion. Christmas is one of the important occasions in our life because this the time that we can bond our family and also this is the annual Christian festival celebrating Christ’s birth.

That’s why the government health experts was reminded the public to eat vegetables and fruits in this Christmas so that they can avoid some diseases just like hypertension, Diabetes and etc.

The Department of Health or DOH recommends to prepare a healthy buffet along with the traditional ham and queso de bola, during the holiday celebrations to avoid diseases.Health experts said also that eating only fatty foods is unhealthy.

Meanwhile, The Food and Drug Administration or FDA advised the public to ensure proper preparation of food during the holidays. Just like the kitchen must keep hygienic and protected against pets, insects and other animals and also the utensils and other equipment’s should always clean before it used in food preparation. For those who in charge in food preparation should always wash their hands for at least 20 seconds at a designated sink.
