The Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte and Catholic officials have shown and appealing to conceal the cleaver situation for now.

After Duterte’s Thursday night meeting with Davao Archbishop Romulo Valles and two other higher member of th clergy, the tough-talking mayor of Davao City promised to keep his cursing in check by donating and giving P1,000 to a charity every time he utters a swear and vulgar word.

The mayor posted in His facebook account, “I visited and talked with Archbishop Romulo Valles and Bishop George Rimando, together with Monsignor Paul Cuison and my Executive Assistant Bong Go. I was admonished and lectured on Christian Values and in return, I told them that I would lessen my use of cuss words,”

Stating, “I am even regulating myself and will donate P1,000 to Caritas Davao every time I would swear. I am also planning to visit the Vatican soon. It was a good meeting and I would like to thank my friends in the Church for their time.”
