Philippine National Government through Malacañang Palaca has already declared on Friday, July 17, 2015 as a Regular Holiday throughout the country, as Pres. Aquino signed Proclamation No. 1070. The declaration of July 17 as a regular holiday was announced through the Official Gazette of the Republic of the Philippines.
It is a regular Holiday on July 17, 2015 declared by the national government in celebration of Eid’l Fitr, the Feast of Ramadan. We encourage the Filipino nation to join our Muslim brothers and sisters in peace and harmony in celebrating Eid’l Fitr that marked at the end of the Holy month of Ramadan as observed by millions of Muslim believers across the world.
Eid al-Fitr, also called Feast of Breaking the Fast, the Sugar Feast, Bayram, the Sweet Festival or Hari Raya Puasa and the Lesser Eid, is an important religious holiday celebrated by Muslims worldwide.
President Benigno Simeon C. Aquino III signed the proclamation of the Eid’l Filtr as a regular holiday for the year 2015.
