Globe Telecom & Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company (PLDT) release a public advisory to the media that as of December 5 Friday, they are now preparing for a system backup for the preparation to Bagyong Ruby that will be expected to landfall this weekend (Saturday & Sunday).
The two big telecommunication companies will disrupt their network services, but stressed that they have already settle things up and formulate a team to ensure their networks equipment and facilities are fully in good condition and with ample of back up supplies.
Globe Telecom, their regional team and technical supports have already inspect the area where their local cell sites is located and check for the possible damage, the area were across Southern Luzon, Manila Area and the Visayas Region wherein the Super typhoon will be expected to landfall.
As part of their preparation they have already deployed back up supplies, power tools and infrastructure materials, spare part and back up fuel for immediate repair and response for the worst case scenario.
Along with PLDT Group its CEO Manny V. Pangilinan announces a “free call and free charging services” to the areas where the typhoon will showcase its rage.
