People were surprised after learning that the aspiring beauty queen Roxanne Cabañero appeared on media again to express herself as one of the official 21 candidates of Miss World Philippines 2014.

The 24-year-old Cebuana beauty Roxanne Cabañero once again signed up for Miss World Philippines 2014, she is joining this year’s beauty pageant aspiring to follow the footsteps of Megan Young who is presently holding title of Miss World 2013.

In an exclusive interview with the Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP.ph) by phone, Cabañero agreed to be interviewed only if the r@pe complaint against actor and TV host Vhong Navarro will not be included on the interview.

Cabañero was asked the reason she has decided to come out from more than 7-months hiding and chooses the Miss World beauty pageant as her new beginning.

According to Cabañero, it was her personal decision to show up on public and she also said, her decision was backed up by her boyfriend (Arnold Aninion) and family, so she got strength and confident of her decision.

“Kasi, there was a psychological battle after nung sa case last seven months ago, so I have this… parang alam mo yung feeling na you don’t want to go out sa bahay. And then, sabi nga ng psychologist ko na, ‘You have to go out there and reclaim your confidence again ‘coz talo ka ‘pag hindi ka lumabas,’ Cabañero explained.

Added to that, Cabañero said, ever since she was a teenager she dreamed to become a beauty queen. Cabañero considers this time as her opportunity to get the crown.

Asked if she feel awkward considering if people will be making her as talk of the netizens?

“Of course, of course I have that feeling.

“Medyo naninigabo ako,” Cabañero said.
