Aspiring beauty queen Roxanne Cabañero backs out from joining Miss World Philippines 2014.

After signing with Miss World Philippines as one of the 21official  candidates to compete with beauty and brain this coming October 12, 2014 at the Mall of Asia Arena, Miss Roxanne Cabañero one of the women who have filed r@pe charges against comedian and TV personalities Vhong Navarro has decided not to continue competing the Miss World Philippines pageant 2014.

Miss Cabanero told GMA News’ 24 Oras (Watch video here below), to explain why she backed out from joining the pageant.  According to her she had to concentrate on other matters and to give chance to the other candidates.

“Kailangan eh. para maging fair naman sa bang candidates. And ma-focus ko din yung sarili ko sa kaso,” Cabañero said.

According to the report, Cabañero withdrew herself from the contest as one of the official candidates of Miss World 2014 and she will soon issue statement to clarify the matter.

In earlier report, Cabañero said she joins the pageant because she wanted to regain her self-confidence and promote her advocacy that according to her worth fighting for.

It can be remembered we back last February, Cabañero accused comedian actor Vhong Navarro of a r@pe complaint sometimes in 2010. Cabañero claimed that she meet the actor when she joined another beauty pageant.

Cabañero was the second complainant following the complaint after Deniece Cornejo who also accused Navarro of a r@pe charges. Both of two r@pe charges against the actor were dismissed on April and July by the Department of Justice (DOJ) and Taguig Prosecutor’s Office.
