Actor TV host Edu Manzano admitted that he received “death threat” due to a false accusation that he is the reason of the suspension of Optical Media Board (OMB) Chairman Ronnie Ricketts.

In his official Twitter account, Manzano posted on September 9, 2014 the text messages containing the death threat from the unidentified person saying: “HOY MANZANO! ALAM NMEN NA IKAW NAG SBI KAY OMBUDSMAN N IPITIN AT SUSPEND SI CHAIRMAN RONNIE, MAY ARAW KA DIN GAGO! HUMANDA KA DIYAN PWERA TAKAS!”

According to Manzano, he was blamed by the cronies of Ronnie Ricketts from suspension being the present chairman of the Optical Media Board. Manzano also added that the said unidentified person threating him and blaming him that he is the one influencing Ombudsman Conchita Carpio-Morales to suspend Ronnie Ricketts from his present position.

According to the report, OMB Chairman Ronnie Ricketts ignored the post-raid operation of the OMB against Sky Marketing Corporation (Sky High) in which the report said, Chairman Ricketts has given permission to release the confiscated pirated DVDs, CDs, and video recorder of the said company on May 27, 2014.

In connection to this, Ricketts is facing charges against Republic Act 3019 or Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices.

However, un-frightened 58-year-old television personality and politician Edu Manzano continue texting with the unidentified person.

“Matagal na akong handa. lagi akong handa, at kayo ang hindi handa para sa akin.

“Anong akala mo? Kayo ang gugulat sa akin? INAANTAY KO KAYO, GAGO!

“Wala akong kinalaman sa suspension, sariling kalokohan at kaswapangan ninyo kaya kayo sumabit!” replied the former OMB Chairman Edu Manzano.

Edu Manzano served as OMB Chairman since 2004 to 2009, after his term in service actor Ronnie Ricketts assumes service as OMB Chairman on 2009 until this present.
