The Smart communications announces that the network is now running on 5G wireless technology LTE-Advanced “LTE-A” on Thursday.
The LTE-A delivers data from between 100 megabits per second or Mbps to 1Gbps which is 10x faster and 2x faster to 4G. You can now download 10MB file in less than a second. YouTube videos is no longer to buffer. And video calls are also LAG-FREE. The LTE-A has also a capability to allocate more network resources to users.
Lot of countries using also LTE-A Network around the world, some of the countries are the leading mobile operators in South Korea, United States, Singapore, Autralia, and Hong Kong according to Telco.
Orlando B. Vera, the Smart Communications Chief Wireless Advisor said “Even as our 3G and 4G networks continue to be unrivaled, Smart becomes the first operator to leap into the future and put the Philippines at par with the world’s most advanced countries in terms of mobile communications technology.”
The Smart Communications is owned by Philippine Long Distance Telecommunications or PLDT, they are first introduced the 3G, 4G, LTE, and Wimax services.
Last year August 2013, The Smart Company is tried to testing the LTE-A across the country, the results of their testing some of the cities in Philippines got 100 mbps in Makati City, Boracay in Aklan, and during the Kadayawan festival in Davao City.
