Miss Mary Jean Lastimosa won the most coveted title Bb. Pilipinas Universe. She is succeeding the crown from Miss Universe 2013 3rd runner-up Ariella Arida. It is her third time of joining the most prestigious pageant competition in the country and finally she earned the victory and crowned Binibining Pilipinas Universe 2014.

audience with her brilliant answers during the final Question and Answer portion which considered one of the most critical parts of the competition that can make or break the contestant. Mary Jean Lastimosa picked Miss Universe Gabriela Isler to ask her the question.
The question to her says: “What is the greatest advantage of being a woman?” With full confidence, Lastimosa answered saying: “The greatest advantage of being a woman is being able to compose herself. Just like here, we’re standing in front of thousands of people, not knowing if you’re going to cheer for us or boo us. But we try to compose ourselves. We keep the emotions and show the beauty that is in us and tonight, thousands of people are standing here, celebrating the beauty of women.”

Mary Jean Lastimosa will represent the country during the upcoming Miss Universe beauty pageant to be held in Fortaleza, Brazil.
Aside from the title Bb. Pilipinas-Universe received by Miss Mary Jean Lastimosa, some other titles was awarded to Miss Mary Anne Guidotti from Taguig City crowned as Bb. Pilipinas International 2014. Kris Tiffany Janson the first title-holder of Bb. Pilipinas Intercontinental 2014. The 24-year-old beauty queen will represent the Philippines in the upcoming Miss Intercontinental beauty pageant (venue not yet announced by the organizers at this time). Bb. Pilipinas-Supranational awarded to Miss Yvethe Marie Santiago and Bb. Pilipinas-Tourism was awarded to Miss Parul Shah.
