Comedian actor and TV host Vhong Navarro greeted Anne Curtis on her 29th birthday celebration on the “It’s Showtime,” the noontime live telecast of ABS-CBN on Monday, February 17, 2014 via phone call.
During the conversation the 37-year-old comedian host Vhong Navarro patched in a joke to entertain the “madlang people” or the crowd within the studio and fellow co-hosts as well as the people watching the live show.
During the phone communication, the actor who is still on leave since the mauling incident in the condo unit at Forbeswood Heights, Taguig surprised the birthday celebrant, Anne Curtis saying: “Anne, pasensya ka na kung hindi ako nakapunta sa birthday mo, sa party mo. Kung wala man ako dun sa party mo, sa puso ko nandito ka naman lagi,” he said.
Birthday celebrant “Dyesebel” lead star Anne Curtis replied that she understands why Vhong Navarro could not able to join her in the celebration. Anne Curtis told Vhong Navarro that all of the fellow co-hosts have missed him so much.
“Miss na miss ka na namin dito. We can’t wait na bumalik ka. Pero okay na sa akin na bumati ka. Very special. Ngayon lang namin narinig ang boses mo ulit dito sa ‘Showtime.’ Naiintindihan ko naman kung bakit wala ka dito basta mahalaga safe ka diyan,” she said.
In response, the actor started a joke on a phone patch conversation driving the point in his joke that he will be waiting her at her condominium unit.
“Huwag ka mag-alala Anne, kung hindi man ako nakapunta diyan para batiin ka ng live, mamaya pag-uwi mo sa condo mo nandun na ako,” he said. The joke of Navarro draws laughter from his co-hosts and madlang people.
“Kung gusto niyo naman ako dalawin, nasa safe house naman ako. Nakatira ako ngayon sa condo ni Ryan (Bang). Safe na safe po ako sa condo ni Ryan, ibibigay ko po ‘yung address, puntahan niyo ako,” he added.
Vice Ganda, after hearing Vhong Navarro joking with Anne Curtis, he also made a joke in reply to Vhong Navarro’s joke saying: “Vhong, hindi naman talaga yung party ang na-miss mo, Vhong. Ang namiss mo talaga ay ang dami kayang foods.” he said.
Anne Curtis was so thankful that the long time absence of Vhong Navarro is finally heard and greeted her on her birthday. Curtis also noted that it was the first time that Vhong Navarro was heard since the time of the controversial mauling incident.
