Malaya Watson’s Hollywood Performance of “Brand New Me” brings her to the next level of American Idol 2014.

Malaya Watson, the Filipino-American singer who have joined the United States most popular singing competition, “American Idol 2014”. In her stage performance during the American Idol Season 13 Hollywood Week on February 5, 2014, Malaya Watson sing a song “Brand New Me” popularized by Alicia Keys that makes her advance to the next round of the singing competition.

While she chooses to perform solo number with the song “Brand New Me” Malaya Watson’s fellow contestant Jena Ascuitto also performed her solo with her preferred song “Video Games” with accompanying keyboard during their stage performances.

The 16-year-old Filipino-American singer hailed from Michigan is an avid fan of Aretha Franklin and Etta James is now rumored to be one of the Top-31 contestants in the American Idol 2014.
