Another condo incident creating online buzz, and this time it involves a prominent politician, Makati Representative Mar-Len Abigail Binay.
The photo posted on Sunday evening at the Power Plant Mall’s Facebook Page congratulating the lucky winner of a condominium unit creates online buzz and goes viral on social media, says the InterAksyon.com.
Representative of the 2nd District of Makati, Mar-Len Abigail S. Binay is the lucky winner of a studio unit at the Grove by the Lopez Group-owned Rockwell Land during the 2013 Christmas raffle draw.
Representative Abigail Binay confirmed the report in a text message to InterAksyon.com that she won the raffle, “Yes, it’s true,” she texted.
The Rockwell Land also made confirmation in a statement sent to InterAksyon.com that Makati 2nd District Representative Abigail Binay was the lucky winner and that the raffle was authenticated.
The Power Plant Mall issued a statement to confirm that Ms. Mar-Len Abigail S. Binay is the lucky winner to receive a major price, a ‘studio unit’ from the Power Plant Mall’s 2013 Christmas raffle draw. The draw was conducted on Saturday the 1st day of February, 2014. During the draw, authorized representative from the Department of Trade and Industry witnessed together with the live audience, the statement said.
The Power Plant Mall come up with the Christmas Raffle and implemented in accordance to the Department of Trade and Industry rules and regulation, added statement.
According to the official website of the Lopez Group of Companies’ on their online newsletter of Lopezlink.ph says that in order to avail the raffle coupon the customer should have to present Rockwell receipt worth Php2,500 then the shopper of customer is entitled to get one raffle stub.
Majority Leader Neptali Gonzales II said that a raffle is not a form of gambling and there is nothing wrong of winning. Makati Representative Mar-Len Abigail S. Binay is very lucky to have won the raffle.
The Grove is located at Barangay Ugong, Pasig. It is the first condominium development outside of Makati by the Lopez Group-owned Rockwell Land. It was formally launched on October 2008 featuring six residential towers.
