American Singer Rex Smith insulted the former Glee star Charice Pempengco during her rehearsal for the upcoming concert in Cebu City.
The controversial report was confirmed by Glenn Aldueza the manager of the international singing sensation, Charice Pempengco in an interview with ABS-CBNNews.com
“We went there on time (2 p.m.) and she’s doing the sound check with the musical director. Then suddenly a foreigner came up to the stage and then he pointed his finger to Charice and told Charice, ‘Can you please stop what you are doing.’ Then nakipag-away si Rex Smith doon sa musical director kasi sabi ng musical director, ‘Can’t you see somebody is rehearsing?” Glenn Aldueza said in an interview with ABS-CBNnews.com.
According to Glenn Aldueza, Charice seems could not believe that the respectable foreign artist has made controversy in the midst of her rehearsal.
Pempengco’s manager Glenn Aldueza added that Rex Smith was advised to apologize for the incident by Ovation Production, the team that brought the American singer here in the country.
According to the reliable source, Rex Smith held an advance Valentines Concert last Monday, February 10, 2014 in one of the best hotel in the city at Victoria Hall in Cebu Parklane International Hotel (CPIH), for the purpose of raising funds to help the typhoon Yolanda victims in Visayas.
The 58-year-old Rex Smith became popular in music industry for his hit singles “Simply Jessie” and “You Take My Breath Away” since 1970s until today. Rex Smith regularly makes a live concert here all over the country.
