Congratulation to Batangas Governor Vilma Santos for winning the Best Actress award at the 13^th Dhaka International Film Festival for her performance in the much-admired indie film “Ekstra” from which the Dhaka Tribune described the performance of the Filipina actress as “fabulous” that help her earn the award.

The 13^th Dhaka International Film Fest was held on 18^th day of January at the National Museum Auditorium in Bangladesh.

According to the report there was no best picture winner selected from the 22 official entries which includes Asia Pacific and Australia during the film festival.

“Ekstra” is a story about a struggling bit player in television soap opera which film was among the entries of last year’s Cenemalaya Independent Film festival that mentioned Vilma Santos as best actress. The film is directed by Jeffrey Jeturian.
