The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) boasts the result of the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF 2013) which income broke all box office records reaches Php934 million during the 12-days showing in all theaters nationwide, confirmed MMDA Chairman Francis Tolentino.
The organizers of the MMFF 2013 told ABS-CBN by phone interview on Monday, January 6, 2014 that the Php934 million figures were officially announced for public information.
The MMDA Chairman also noted that the ranking of the eight official entries are still in their respective places in which the top grossers and highest in the rank is the movie “My Little Bossings” who is considered the most successful movie of the year in terms of box office revenue.
The second top grosser according to the official organizers is the movie of the comedian TV host Vice Ganda’s “Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy.” And the third in the rank and the third highest grossers of the year MMFF 2013 is the horror comedy movie of the young stars Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla, “Pagpag: Siyam na Buhay.”
MMDA Chairman Francis Tolentino also revealed the close competition based on the ticket sales between the two highest ranking movies. MMDA Chairman said that the movie “Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy” surpasses “My Little Bossings” during last Sunday showing, January 5 in the box office income results. But on the following day, Monday, January 6, 2014 “My Little Bossings” regain again.
