Before the fight of Manny Pacquiao against Brandon Rios on Sunday November 24, 2013, Packman’s coach Freddie Roach is having a clash with Brandon Rios’ trainer Robert Garcia that redound to a kick by one from the other members in the camp of Brandon Rios during the training in Macau. The identified person kicking Freddie Roach is the ex-trainer of the Filipino Champ Manny Pacquiao – Alex Ariza.
According to Chiqui Roa-Puno of News5, reporting live from Macau, at around 11:00 a.m. Freddie Roach arrived to the gym with Pacquiao’s conditioning coach Gavin Mcmillan. Upon arrival to the gym they encountered the camp of Rios that still in training in the gym from 9-11 a.m. reserved time.
The misunderstanding started after Roach requested Garcia to leave immediately after the training. Roach’ requests was misinterpreted by the camp of Rios and triggers both party in throwing infamous words.
While Freddie Roach was explaining on their side, Alex Ariza, Pacquiao’s ex-trainer who is now joined to Rios camp has arrived and fused the argument.
Roach became angrier, after Ariza mocking him of his Parkinson’s disease. Roach move forward to get close to Ariza, but Ariza kicked Roach on the chest, throwing him backward.
We learned earlier that Ariza was fired by Roach after Pacqiuao’s last fight against Juan Marquez.
