Charli D’Amelio was the first TikTok star who gained 100 million followers, even after the controversial issue that caused her to lose 1 million followers overnight.

The 16-year-old American social media influencer, after reaching 100 million followers, tweeted:

She reached 100 million followers only for a year and a half. Many celebrities and fans congratulated the social media star. However, bashers will not disappear just yet.

Many netizens expressed in her twitter post that they were very disappointed in her behavior, especially on the recent controversial issue.

Despite of all the hate she receives, there are still fans and netizens who defended her saying that even though she acted that way on the issue, she still deserves to be treated like a human as haters kept sending her death threats.
