Here are five Syrians who intended to reach the United States using the stolen Greek passports were caught at the airport in Honduras in Central America.
They were stopped at the Toncontin Internarional Airport on Tuesday, November 17 around 8 pm.
Receiving an alert from the Interpol about the men and the stolen and apparently doctored passports, the passports have been altered to replace the original photos with those of the Syrians. Said by the Honduran National Investigative Police spokesperson Anibal Baca.
According to Him, “We received information from fellow police services that these five Syrians left Greece and passed through Turkey, Brazil, Argentina and San Jose in Costa Rica before finally reaching Tegucigalpa,”
The Syrians who immediately was send to the Police Investigation Department for questions had told the investigators that they intended to reach the Honduran City of San Pedro Sula to reach the United going through Guatemala and Mexico.
