Richard Gomez talks about mayoral position last November 11 on Tonight with Boy Abunda. Richard Gomez shared how running for mayor of Ormoc City, Leyte in next year’s election became a tough decision for him. He said that for him it was a big decision because his showbiz career is now at the good sail. This year, last year and next year would be a better career for him as an actor but still he choose to run instead and take a risk.

He also added that some of his showbiz projects would be lessen once he gets a seat from Ormoc and he added that he really wants to improve the city. He also said, “Kung gusto mong tumulong as a regular person, yes you can. Pero kung talagang gusto mong tumulong sa maraming tao, you really have to be in politics. Bakit? Kasi you can make use of the government’s resources.”
