A preview of the new Kapamilya sitcom Sigabo was revealed by celebrity duo Coco Martin and Julia Montes. The two were seen having fun in between takes for the eagerly awaited series that will take the place of FPJ’s highly regarded action-drama Batang Quiapo.

Sigabo, which premiered on March 16, a few days after Batang Quiapo’s conclusion, will star Coco and Julia.

The long-haired Kapamilya star was standing next to the taxi in the picture, while the Kapamilya actress was seated inside.

Families who have grown to appreciate Coco’s acting and storytelling from his numerous popular programs will undoubtedly like Sigabo, which combines action, comedy, and romance. He revealed in an earlier interview with TV Patrol that this will be the first time they create a humorous series, deviating from the typical action-packed drama for which he is renowned.

In previous interview with TV Patrol, Coco said, “Naghihintay ako ng right project para sa pagsasama namin ni Julia. Si Juls ngayon, pukpukan ang training. Nag-aaral siya ngayon ng sa baril, ng fight, sa motor. Inakma namin ‘yung kwento na talagang fit para sa amin, sa estado namin ngayon. First time namin magla-light. Pasasayahin naman natin ‘yung mga tahanan gabi-gabi”

Additionally, he mentioned that the comedians in the series would have a unique experience each week.

He teased, “Halos lahat ng mga kasama namin mga comedian. Tapos episodic siya, iba-ibang kwento, iba-ibang mission. Para iba-ibang experience every week.”

Coco and Julia have collaborated on projects before; they have starred in a number of successful television shows and movies. More than ten years ago, the couple’s first joint project was Walang Hanggan, which was followed by Ikaw Lamang.

Then, when Walang Hanggan was still showing on small screens, Coco and Julia featured in the 2013 Star Cinema movie A Moment in Time. Pula, an independent film from 2024, was their final big-screen collaboration.
